'Briareos' and Kittens - WIP - moved things along and playing with the idea of two rather than one baby.  Blocked in the rough shapes for Sniper rifle and stowage/accessories. A few more days and decisions to make then the HP proper can begin.




So, time has allowed a little personal work to be done.  Having always loved Shirows   -'Appleseed' for its art and design I decided to take one of the key characters 'Briareos' and give him a 'Lone Wolf and Cub' meets \Mad Max' twist.  Started blocking in the masses and I'm enjoying making choices so far.

Managed to start work on my own version of 'Armstrong', one of the robots from the critically acclaimed - 'World War Robot' story.

This is the low poly base which is now sitting in ZBrush awaiting high poly sculpting, detailing and texturing - hes unwrapped and I have some pretty far out variants planned, one of which this colour scheme might hint at.  Ive just completed the 1G booster unit but I am now in the process of radically zuking it up to fit with the first variants planned appearance - more to come, lots lots more...


A Return to personal work...

Having started a new position back in Dec/Jan Ive really struggled to find any time to do any personal work, aside from keeping up with techniques and working through an enormous backlog of tuts.

Much of my last years work is still tied up in NDA's awaiting public release, but looks like two projects are soon to be announced, so in the meantime Ive scratched together a few hours here and there to work on some personal projects.

This is one of about 200 game sprites for an android shoot-em-up game that a friend and I have been planning on developing, as I had the ZB file on a memory stick I used it during one dinner hour to produce something a little shiny and more presentation orientated -

1 hour speed presentation- 'The Return' (quite apt)
